Hi - I hope you're well. This week will be a bit different, as I'm traveling and can't seem to post any pictures. I promise to post some next week.
The Best:
Spending time with friends - I was able to see everyone I wanted to see. We ate, had wonderful conversations and laughed a lot!
Chiang Mai - I know it pretty well now and felt very comfortable being there.
Food - Chiang Mai has some really good restaurants, and Janet can whip up delicious in no time. I ate verrrrry well.
Mountains - it was nice to be in the mountains in Mae Hing Son and Pai. Driving through the 1800 mountainous curves was interesting. I kept wondering what it would feel like on a bike:-) Thank goodness I don't get car or van sick!
Nature - I stayed two nights in Fern Resort. It was built into the jungle. Beautiful and peaceful!
Music (and food) - We enjoyed dinner while listening to the Yale All-Senior Women's Acappella group at River Market.
The worst:
It rained every day, so I wasn't able to do much walking. I finally hired a driver to take me around Mae Hong Son. Staying in my room reading and watching videos got old quick.

I arrived in Penang, Malaysia yesterday. What a nice surprise! I'll write about that next week when I have my proper equipment (a computer with a bigger and more cooperative screen).
Until next week...
