I wish they had Google Translate for Beers. That might make it easier to make a choice. Why beer? When you are living in a country that has "Hot" "Rainy Hot" and "Hot Hot" seasons, every now and then you might feel like tossing back a cool one. Although you can find soda, wine and liquor here, most foreigners (and many Thais) turn to beer - some even add ice or lime. Beer is especially good with Thai food!
When we lived in Thailand from 1985-1990, beer choices were rather slim. Although there were probably other beers around, the ones I remember vividly were Singha (pronounced "Sing") and Kloster. Kloster became my favorite.
Fast forward to 2015 and imagine my disappointment when I found out that Kloster no longer exists. Now there is much more variety, which makes choosing a beer much more difficult.
Here's a blogpost about these beers that I found very informative and funny:

After some sampling (I won't say how much), I've found my favorite Thai beer. It has been featured in several of my pictures. See if you can figure out which one it is...
