Hello there! I hope this finds you and yours as well as can be. I'm a bit late posting this because I went to Bangkok this weekend. My main purpose in going was to meet up with a friend who worked with me in Barcelona. Chris is married to Sheilah (I worked with her as well), and they live with their 2 lovely daughters in Beijing. Chris was in Bangkok for a weekend conference. It was great to see him!

While in Bangkok, I also met Jaew, the owner of the townhouse where I'm staying. I forgot to take a picture, but suffice it to say that she is a lovely lady. She owns a restaurant called Jeffrey's Corner (named in honor of her late husband). Here is a YouTube video in Thai about her restaurant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh2qbblZveo). Watch through the gas commercial in order to see Jaew - she is the more mature lady in the white blouse. I believe the restaurant had been open for about 6 weeks at the time this video was made. She tells the reporter that Jeffrey liked to party, and that is how she learned to cook the dishes that she now sells in her restaurant. I'm glad I went to the restaurant - the pizza that I ordered was fantastic!
Now that I'm back in Hua Hin, I thought I'd introduce you to some of the people who live on my soi (street). Most pictures were taken at the March 3rd wedding of Naa & Rob.

These are only some of the people in my neighborhood. Other people live on the soi, but several condo owners don't live here full-time (like Jaew). Plus...there are many folks that I just don't know as well. We live on a quiet dead-end soi not far from the main road through town. Once we cross the main road and walk a couple of minutes, we're at the beach. It's not a bad life.
More next time! Have a great week:-)
